not dead; summer groups
Sometime soon I'll have time for a real update, but I've been extremely damn busy. Here's what you need to know about the summer reading groups:
Sorry if I missed anything. Right now I'm writing like a writing robot, but I thought it would be nice to get some of this info out there. There's plenty of philosophy going on here this summer, so don't miss out if you're in town.
- Philosophy of Mind: hasn't been scheduled yet. Contact John Chandler for info.
- Modal logic: Wednesdays at 4pm in 5705 South Hall (the small seminar room), starting June 28th. Text is Melvin Fitting & Richard Mendelsohn's First-Order Modal Logic, read chapter 1 for the first meeting. Contact Luke Manning for info.
- Practical reasoning: hasn't been scheduled yet. Contact Ian Nance or Jonny Way for info.
- Rawls's A Theory of Justice: I'm not sure if it's been scheduled yet; contact Jennifer Scott for info.
- Wittgenstein's Philosophical Investigations: Probably Tuesdays or Thursdays at 4pm at Luke's place. The first meeting will be Thursday, June 29th, and we'll go through section 45. Contact Luke Manning for info.
